: Jolly LawgerSummer Vacation* (5/01/2008)
By Steve Pirates
Well, my long glorious summer vacation* has started. Today I woke up, got dressed, and went to Court. I think Katie was a little concerned that I went to Court today considering that our Federal Courthouse got pipebombed over the weekend. Fortunately, I don?t work at the Federal Courthouse, I work at the Domestic Violence Courthouse, in a Clinic.
My internship is pretty neat. It feels nice to be working again, and actually helping people. The subject matter is a little grim (DVTRO?s), but it?s a very important area of law. Protecting people is one of the most important aspects of the law, and I am glad to be helping.
After my shift at the Clinic, I went to school. One class today, Con Law. I figured that taking it over the Summer would mean a smaller class, so hopefully an easier time figuring things out. Tonight is Katie and Steve?s Third Annual Lake Havasu Cinco De Mayo Extravaganza. This year we?ve changed venue from Lake Havasu to Lake Our Apartment. But, it?s pretty much the same thing, except in a different state, and not a house, and no ?Spring Break? nekkid people on boats.
Party!
*editor?s note: vacation here includes school and internships.
