Ł64,320 award for unfair dismissal

London A woman director who was sexually harassed by a City fund manager has been awarded Ł64,320 in compensation. Nadine Nassar, of Chelsea, was sacked from her Ł136,000-a-year-post at Notz Stucki, an asset management company, after spurning advances from Guy Oppenheim, 53, the chief executive. Central London Employment Tribunal found that she was sexually harassed, but the case was brought too late under sex discrimination laws and failed. She was unfairly dismissed, however, and the award included the maximum payment of Ł63,000.
