With the number of people losing their jobs and moving in with their elderly family members, elderly abuse is on the rise. Oftentimes people take the stress out on those closest to them. A victim?s advocate states that the elderly are being targeted right now and are often threatened by their abusers not to tell anyone or risk consequences.
