Clinton Has Plenty of Money; Needs More Desperately

By wt

ADVERTISEMENTS
Hillary loaned herself $5 million before Super Tuesday. We knew that.

But now her campaign is saying the money is rolling in. Hillary has raised $8.4 million since Super Tuesday and $10 million since February 1st.

But her campaign emails belie the notion that she's doing fine:

One note for a "Dessert Reception with Sen. Hillary Clinton at Whitehaven" on Feb. 25 is a bit striking.

"Contribution: Raise $4,600 per person ? primary funds only."

I haven't seen that last note before, and it's another sign that, while running up the fundraising score for much of the year in part with unusable general election funds, they now need the money ... now.

If Obama's to crush Hillary, he should probably press his advantage now. He's going to raise ANOTHER $30 million this month, and can keep going back to his corps of small donors.

Ad blitzes, mailers, paid staff, etc. Press your advantage if you want to win.
