ADVERTISEMENTS

The American Judicature Society (AJS) will be honoring former Attorney General Janet Reno next week.

Reno will receive the 2009 Justice Award.

Keynote speaker will be Kirk Noble Bloodsworth, whose capital case was the first to be overturned as a result of DNA testing.

Part of the program will include selections from Song of America, Reno's musical project honoring the civil rights struggle and other important events in US history. (Reno serves as executive producer; she does not cover any Pete Seeger hits.)

The event takes place next Friday, April 17 in DC. See AJS for more information.
