ABA Techshow: Bringing Networking Home

As many of you who follow me on Twitter @lawfirmblogger already know, I attended ABA Techshow here in Chicago this weekend. This was my first time attending, and I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive; despite my chattiness on Twitter etc, I tend to have a bit of social anxiety in big crowds. But, as these things usually go when all is said and done, I enjoyed myself immensely.

I went to a handful of sessions/panels and got in on some of the fun after-hours networking events, including Friday night?s Beer for Blawgers and Taste of Techshow.

Throughout the past three days I had the pleasure of connecting with some of the many lawyers and legal professionals I?ve been following on Twitter for several months, as well as others whose law blogs I have been reading for years. I even had the opportunity to connect with a few of my non-local clients I had not yet met in person. Good stuff all around!

I?m still incredibly jazzed about it all, and I have way too much to say about ABA Techshow to try to condense it all into a single post. So, I am planning to break things down into a (somewhat impromptu) series over the next few days for the benefit of capturing my own experience with the Techshow, as well as to share with those of you who wanted to attend but couldn?t. (Good news for many: I hear the LMA event dates won’t conflict with Techshow next year — yay!)
