Super Delegates All Over

By wt

ADVERTISEMENTS
Here's a list of Super Delegates and the affiliations of those who have currently pledged. Many have not.

And here are some of Obama's figures. Note that this is only one of many scenarios they've plotted -- this one just happened to leak.

Even with victories in state after state, they barely eek out a win because of Hillary's Super Delegate count.

The comfort for Obama must be that so many Super Delegates haven't pledged yet.

You have to figure these Super Delegates will be no worse for Obama than 50/50, especially if he continues to do well in the primaries and milk the Kennedys (and to a lesser extent, John Kerry) for important unpledged voters.

My prediction:

Howard Dean goes straight to the Super Delegates and starts taking signatures. Get as many Super Delegates as you possibly can to vote the way of the pledged delegates. He'll ask the candidates themselves to suggest signing up with him. Obama will do it, Hillary will refuse.
