What is going on in the LRC?

OK, so the news reports haven't been that great lately -- not about the economy, and not about the bias motivated incidents here.  We have put up some signs that state: The LRC is a Hate Speech Free Zone.  It would be nice if we didn't have to say that to anybody.  We shouldn't need a reminder about such things. Really.
