: Personal Injury and Social Security Disability BlogDisabled People Hurt By the Social Security Backlog Need to Share Their Woes
By Robert Kraft
The National Organization of Social Security Claimant?s Representatives (NOSSCR) is encouraging disabled people who have been impacted by the terrible Social Security disability hearings backlog to speak out. The Social Security Disability attorneys at our law firm are sustaining members of NOSSCR. We encourage everyone impacted by the backlog and the long wait to get a hearing to contact their Senators and House Representatives. There is an upcoming Congressional hearing on Thursday, March 12, and claimants are asked to share stories of how the backlog has caused worsening health, foreclosure, family disintegration, bankruptcy, homelessness, etc.
Please visit this Web site for information about contacting government officials. Those officials are in a position to properly fund Social Security, and to ensure more staff can be hired to cure the backlog problem.
