FORGE Consulting says it has "worked diligently to bring high-caliber expertise from other types of companies, which allows us them build a settlement team for every case". Apparently one of those "companies" is "Employers Insurance of WASSAU(AAAAPP)".  Download handwave.gif The correct name for the Liberty Mutual assignee is Employers Insurance of Wausau.

FORGE Consulting also states an assignee Hartford Comprehensive Employee Benefit Service Corporation , another company that does not exist. The correct name is Hartford Comprehensive Employee Benefit Service Company (CEBSCO).

A number of other companies listed on the FORGE Consulting webpage (02/03/2008 7pm) do not have the full legal name or the home office of the insurance company listed, cited as a requirement in a January 2008 opinion of the New York State Insurance Department, Office of General Counsel.

It goes to show you that no matter how much FORGE Consulting pays to the AAJ endowment , NYSTLA Partnership for Justice, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA), , one thing it CANNOT buy is "attention to detail".

It may be necessary, however inconvenient, to double check the payee against available third party sources to be sure you have the correct payee. Who the heck wants to have to rewrite a check?
