: The BIALL BlogLaw Librarianship in 2007 : A review
By James Mullan
Fiona Durrant, BIALL Council Member and Loyita Worley, editor of the BIALL Handbook of Legal Information have co-written a piece for the latest CILIP update. The piece is a review of developments during 2007 and a look at what the future holds for Law Librarianship. Significant developments during 2007 included;
- The Financial Times placing an embargo on its content.
- The challenges and opportunities created by Web 2.0 technologies especially Blogs and Wikis
- The increased importance of online resources
- The challenge of dealing with spiralling costs
This is a well written piece which sits alongside reviews of 2007 by other Librarians. The question is, what does 2008 hold?
