Hillary Embraces the Giants

By wt

ADVERTISEMENTS
Yesterday, Hillary took note of the fact that Obama was rooting for the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and said that the Giants winning was a "real omen."
And reminded that she had two campaign stops in Massachusetts on Monday, she joked: ?They can redeem themselves on Tuesday ? they can vote for a winner.?

Otherwise she took the Giants? victory as tidings of things to come.

?Well, I think this is a real omen,? she said.

1. What a weirdly arrogant statement that even though the Patriots lost, the state of Massachusetts can still vote for a winner -- her -- tomorrow in an election.

Not much consolation if you ask me, and kind of missing the point. Well, we had a perfect season in the balance, a legacy of best football team in history on the line, and the expectations of eternal greatness from fans and commentators.

Well we didn't get those things. How about voting for Hillary to redeem ourselves?

2. I'm offended, as a sports fan, that she's connecting herself to the Giants. Show me ONE statement before the Super Bowl that the Giants winning had anything to do with her campaign.

Actually, I'd like to see ANY public statements by Hillary before the game that she was rooting for the Giants. I don't dispute that she wanted them to win. I'm just curious if she told anyone before they actually did win.
