Happy Birthday To Me / Is The Strike Over?

It appears that the writers strike might be ending on my birthday, which would be kind of cool.  Strike rumors completely went insane over the weekend, articles saying there's a handshake deal, it's going to be over any minute, Fox head Peter Chernin e-mailing friends from the Super Bowl saying it's over... the Guild leadership sent out an e-mail saying no contract yet, don't assume rumors are true... but it seems like there are too many sources for it to be a total crock.  I expect it won't actually be ending today, but maybe  within the next week or two?  Or maybe this is just a negotiating tactic and it's all going to collapse.  In any case... turning 29 takes me frighteningly close to 30, and what's really sinking in is that I'm a quarter of the way to 116.  :)
