Leo Donofrio on 1st Lt. Easterling: ?He Did Not Defy Any Direct Order?

By Phil

ADVERTISEMENTS

Apparently, many folks are taking what 1st Lt. Scott Easterling said way out of context. For the record, nowhere in the 1st Lt.’s letter did he say anything about disobeying orders. However, as Leo Donofrio (the Plaintiff in the now defunct case Donofrio v. Wells) points out, WorldNetDaily wasn’t completely accurate in their recent article that is featured on Drudge Report…

Clarifiying Officer Easterling?s Comments? and other misc stuff

Unless I?m missing something, World Net Daily?s coverage of Scott Easterling?s brave journey into the new Orly Taitz POTUS eligibility suit has put Mr. Easterling in danger. Here is the WND headline:

Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president?s orders ?As an officer, my sworn oath to support and defend our Constitution requires this?

The headline takes an accurate statement and places it out of context next to a completely inaccurate statement. Easterling did swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution. But he did not defy any direct orders.

The headline is unnecessarily flamboyant and puts Mr. Easterly in jeopardy. It also will most likely cause confusion for his fellow troops and officers. It appears from the following comment by Orly Taitz - quoted in the WND article - that Scott Easterling is willing to face court martial for questioning Obama?s eligibility, but the statement does not indicate that he has now, or will in the future, disobey a direct order from a superior officer:

?Taitz told WND she had advised Easterling to obtain legal counsel before making any statements regarding the commander-in-chief, but he insisted on moving forward. His contention is that as an active member of the U.S. military, he is required to follow orders from a sitting president, and he needs ? on pain of court-martial ? to know that Obama is eligible. ?

World Net Daily has taken statements out of context and created a very dangerous situation to now exist. Mr. Easterling has NOT disobeyed any direct orders and WND owes this brave man the respect to report on his statements accurately as opposed to sensationally. I am not alleging that WND intended to misquote the situation, but they should revise the headline. Mr. Easterling could come under charges just for suspicion of intending to violate orders. He could also be accused of fostering insurrection by attempting to get other soldiers to disobey orders.

It?s one thing to question the President?s eligibility, it?s another thing to disobey a direct order. Mr. Easterling questioned Obama?s eligibility, but he did not disobey any direct orders. The headline indicates he did disobey a direct order and the headline MUST be corrected asap by WND.

MISC. CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING MY ?COINCIDENCES?

I just want people to know a little bit more about the strange coincidences which have entered my life since I brought my eligibility law suit. I have seen some rather ridiculous comments online. So let me clear the air.

When I went to DC to file my law suit with SCOTUS on Nov. 3, 2008, I brought my passport because my driver?s license had become expired on October 31, 2008. In the Hughes Justice Complex in New Jersey where I had been filing my lower court papers, you need ID to enter the building. I assumed I would need ID to enter SCOTUS. My only good ID was therefore my passport. As it turned out, SCOTUS didn?t ask for ID. My passport has an RFID chip in it. These chips contain information readable by scanners. Scanners are everywhere these days.

As for the bum with the walkie talkie and the armed agents who showed up at Union station, the real question most people should be asking is why unmarked men with no official Government insignia can drive up on public property where no other cars are allowed? can take out full weapons in public and load them then enter a public facility with no ID around their necks or on their shirts. Why is that allowed? Who are they? Was it a coincidence it happened a few minutes after I entered the grid? Perhaps. And I allowed for such a coincidence in my post.

Was it a coincidence that the same ?out of order? phone number managed to call both me and a relative on the same day I had just filed papers in the NJ courts? Perhaps.

Was it also a coincidence that choppers were flying over my residence for two weeks straight just circling and circling? rather low at that. Perhaps.

Was it also a coincidence that Obama showed up unannounced at the hotel where I was supposed to be participating in a chess tournament on January 16, 2008? And that he showed up with bomb sniffing dogs and that my other blog had been hacked on January 13, 2008 to show a clip for the film ?V For Vendetta? where V blows up the Houses of Parliament. And was it also a coincidence that the blog post included a paragraph allegedly written by me alluding to some kind of similar activity that would take place around the time of the inauguration? That?s a lot of coincidence considering I?m locked out of my own blog.

Then my heater breaks down on the way back from Vegas, stalls my arrival in Philly by a day and I miss Obama by two hours then go onto win my section of the chess tournament and a $700 check, my first ever big chess win.

Lots of coincidences. Perhaps they were all just fate. Who knows. What I do know is all of this really happened.

I see the blogs trying to paint me as your typical loser looney tune. Well, I am different but my life is amazing and I certainly didn?t need to take on Obama to give it any meaning. I do not enjoy practicing law. I gave it up to lead a sane life. I got involved for love of country and protection of the Constitution. I financed the law suit on my own. No donations were accepted. Those who sent checks saw those checks mailed back. I handled Cort?s application pro bono. I turned down all television interviews.

Are you kidding me? My life was brilliant before this happened. In the last year I?ve won a WSOP poker championship and other serious poker championships, scoredmy first serious chess win while also recording a tremendous new album with my internationally acclaimed rock and roll band while managing to enjoy my life of not having to use my law degree from St. John?s to earn a living putting on a neck tie/noose via the rat race.

I might be crazy, but I?m crazy for life, love and the pursuit of happiness, which this year will also include putting my scratch handicap to good use playing some major golf tournaments. I attended St. John?s on a Division 1 NCAA scholarship for golf.

Am I just bragging?

No. Skanky trolls need to know. I?m not some creepy tin foil hat sporting pimple popping git droolin? all over my self? mofos! Don?t playa hate, appreciate.

My hands are steady.

My mind is sharp.

My life is sober.

And I am going to rock your freaking world.

Furthermore, I am available to any military people who need to talk about the law. I am not representing anybody right now, but I will help you pro bono if you have questions. By that I mean that I will do my best to try to explain any complex legal issues. I won?t be telling anybody what to do, but if you need a certain law explained or a case explained, I will be happy to help. Just write a comment to one of the blog posts below ?indicate it?s private (so it won?t be published), leave your e mail and I will get back to you.
