Not that there was much doubt about the cause of the auto accident, but a man who drove into a car driven by a Jacksonville police officer last October has been charged with DUI manslaughter.
57-year old Joseph May was driving a van near New Berlin Road and Heckscher Drive around 11:30 October 13th. He struck the door of Officer Scott Bell's patrol car causing the cruiser to spin around, hit a power pole and burst into flames.
