Iowa Construction Law - Iowa man died - Crain Collapse

Reports concerning a construction site accident are circulating. Omaha - Sioux City -

A Glenwood, Iowa man died Saturday after being injured when a crane at a gas pipeline construction site in Pacific Junction collapsed and crushed him.

This is the type of case that involves both workers' compensation and the general personal injury area of Iowa construction law. The employee worked for WHC Inc. out of Lafayette, LA. WHC, Inc., Corp. No. 193294 appears to be in "Inactive" status with the Iowa Secretary of State. The Iowa Secretary of State shows W H C INCORPORATED to be active (Corp. No.166991) with a different registered agent but with their home office in Broussard, LA 70518. WHC's website shows they provide general services in oil and gas pipeline construction.
