: Law Firm BloggerInterview with Virginia Construction Law Blogger Christopher Hill
By Amy Derby
Twitter has introduced me to some genuinely good people — and some of them are lawyers! One of these very awesome folks is Chris Hill, a Virginia construction lawyer with the Richmond firm DurretteBradshaw, PLC. Chris blogs at Construction Law Musings. I read his blog regularly, and I frequently refer to him as an example of a lawyer who uses blogging and social media in the best possible way.
Chris recently posted a call out for guest bloggers in an effort to expand his community and offer his readers (many of whom are clients and industry professionals) varying points of view on this whole business of construction law. Last week, he kicked off a series called Guest Post Fridays by introducing construction lawyer Scott Wolfe, of Wolfe Law Group, with a guest post titled Should You Care About The Employee Free Choice Act? Then Chris invited me into the mix. Scott is a tough act to follow!
Since my legal background is in corporate bankruptcy, and my knowledge of construction law is fairly limited, I asked Chris if he would be up for doing something a little different. He graciously agreed to let me interview him about blogging and social media. So, without further ado, I would be thrilled if you would stop by Chris’ blog and read my Interview with Construction Law Blogger Chris Hill, whom I affectionately refer to as Mechanics Lien Boy (because every good lawyer needs a superhero title). In the interview, Chris offers some great insight into how and why he got started blogging and using social media, and how he’s achieved success with both in such a short period of time.
PS If you aren’t already, be sure to follow Chris Hill on Twitter @constructionlaw.
