Blawging Lawyers Has Cured My Insomnia

By Amy Derby

ADVERTISEMENTS

It seems like just a few weeks ago that Grant Griffiths (aka ?The Blawgfather”) told me about an awesome new project he and Michael Martine (aka “The Remarkablogger”) were collaborating on called Blawging Lawyers. I have a heck of a lot of professional respect, as well as personal admiration, for both of these guys. And I was beyond happy to hear that they were brainstorming a comprehensive online course to teach lawyers to blog.

For the past year or so I’ve been having insomniatic visions of “Maybe one day I’ll create some sort of ecourse to help lawyers learn to blog.” I get several new queries each week from lawyers who find me through this blog, via Twitter or LinkedIn, or by word-of-mouth recommendations, who are anxious to get blogging. The sad fact is, there is only so much time in my day, and I don’t have the time to help everyone — nor do I have the level of expertise necessary to tend to some of the requests I get, quite frankly. I frequently find myself making referrals, to guys like Grant and Michael.

I’m thrilled to tell you that the Blawging Lawyers program Grant and Michael have created has completely cured my insomnia. Ok, that’s sort of a lie. because I still wake up wondering if I left the coffee pot on. But honestly, they have gotten rid of the 3am brainstorming sessions with my never-tiring muse about maybe someday working up some type of law blogging ecourse — because these guys have done it up right, better than I ever could have. I have talked a bunch with Grant about Blawging Lawyers. I set aside several hours to look it all over in great detail, and it’s BEYOND AWESOME. It has everything any lawyer who wants to blog could ever hope to learn.

From written text courses to audio teleclasses, to interviews with successful law bloggers who bring in a good portion of their client bases from their blogs, to how-to video walk-throughs to live teleseminars… Blawging Lawyers has it all. It’s specifically designed for the solo or small firm, and it’s a great way for anyone with basic technology skills to learn. (By basic technology skills, I mean the skills required to find this post in the first place and click through to read all about it.)

Blawging Lawyers launches today! The only downside is that space is limited to 250 participants. But I suppose that isn’t really a downside, since by limiting the number of folks who can take the course at once they’ll be able to provide proper attention to everyone and not leave anybody feeling short-changed.

Unless your law blog is already making you millions, I highly recommend you check it out. At the very least, sign up to Get your Copy of the Blawging Lawyers Report, which I’ve read three times because it’s just that good. They also have posted a free audio interview with law blogger Leanna Hamill, who attributes much of her success in gaining 50% of her client base through her blog to Grant (who rocks, in case I haven’t made that abundantly clear). Make sure to have a listen!

Are you participating in Blawging Lawyers? If so, I would love to hear what you think of it!
