Ruth Bader Ginsburg Heads Home

ginsburgSupreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is back at home. Earlier Friday, she was released from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a week after surgery to remove a tumor on her pancreas, the court announced. Click here, for the story from the Washington Post.

A routine examination last month revealed a lesion in the center of the justice’s pancreas. The surgery involved the removal of her spleen and a small malignant tumor determined to be stage 1 cancer, a court spokeswoman said. Physicians told the court that Ginsburg’s cancer had not spread to the lymph notes or elsewhere in the body.

Ginsburg has previously said that she intended to return to the court in time for three days of oral arguments Feb. 23.
