: Legal Pad | LADreier Stein lawyers jump to Snell & Wilmer, open L.A. office
By Jonathan Hayter
At least eight lawyers from ailing Dreier, Stein, Kahan, Browne, Woods, George are joining Snell & Wilmer to open the firm's first Los Angeles office.
The partners in the group are Marshall Horowitz, Susan Grueneberg, Jason S. Kim and Henry S. David. One or two more partners could be joining the firm, as well, said Barry Halpern, a partner in the Phoenix office of Snell & Wilmer who was involved in the planned acquisition. He also said four associates from Dreier Stein are joining the firm's new Los Angeles office, which will be located downtown. The group is joining the firm on Feb. 1.
"We identified a model that we were interested in using as a core, and these people fit that model," Halpern said. "They're very good lawyers. They have reasonably good, broad practices. They are very compatible with our lawyers."
