Word of the Day: Herdict

Public Knowledge's Mehan Jayasuriya reports that Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society has developed Herdict Web, a new tool that will allow users to map web filtering around the world.  Read his discussion here. 

Where did the name for this new product come from?  According to the website, "Herdict is a portmanteau of 'herd' and 'verdict' and seeks to show the verdict of the users (the herd). Herdict Web seeks to gain insight into what users around the world are experiencing in terms of web accessibility; or in other words, determine the herdict."
