: Legal Pad | LADreier Stein's former entertainment chair et al. jump to Robins Kaplan
By Jonathan Hayter
A group of entertainment litigators from Dreier, Stein, Kahan, Browne, Woods, George, has joined the Los Angeles office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi.
Michael Plonsker, former co-chairman of the entertainment and media department at Dreier, Stein, Kahan, Browne, Woods, George, will join the Minneapolis firm, along with partner Yakub Hazzard. Both will head the new entertainment litigation group at Robins Kaplan. Another partner, Mark Passin, and at least three associates, will join the firm, as well.
The moves are the latest from Dreier, Stein, Kahan, Browne, Woods, George, the Santa Monica, Calif., affiliate of Dreier LLP, whose founder and sole equity partner, Marc Dreier, was recently charged with securities and wire fraud in an alleged $380 million scheme to sell fraudulent promissory notes to investors.
