Sunset recommends TYC/probation merger

Last night around 10:30, the Sunset Advisory Commission voted 6-5 in favor of merging the Texas Youth Commission and the Juvenile Probation Commission. So that recommendation will be in the agencies' Sunset bill, though it will still be debated and possibly changed during the legislative process.RELATED: See Grits' testimony on the merger idea to the Sunset Commission.
