I had a heck of a time getting to my Tax final. I drove to school, only to find that the former street parking spots had turned into giant piles of snow. All the cars were either plowed in or were giant SUVs parked on top of the giant piles of snow. I turned around, went home, chased a bus down the street, caught the next bus, walked to school from Harvard Square. Total time elapsed: One hour, ten minutes. Net distance: 2.2 miles. (Eh, I shouldn't have been driving when I could have taken the bus anyway. It was just that I had all those heavy books... and coming home at night... and parking permit moral hazard...)

Not to jinx it, but I was happy with how the exam went. If I don't do well in this class, I'll be disappointed. I worked hard on Tax.

You know who else worked hard? My sainted husband, who has spent the last few nights cooking dinner for me and then quizzing me with flashcards. He learned quite a bit, too. Yesterday I made a tax joke (oh, like you haven't) and he not only got it, but made one BACK, and proceeded to use the term "adjusted basis" without breaking a sweat. If you asked me when I was 19 what I was looking for in a boyfriend, I wouldn't have said this. I just got lucky.

Two more days, one more all-day exam, and I'm officially a 3L.
