Andi from The Thinks I Think tagged me to do the Weird/Random Things game. And since I did Weird Things last year, I'll do random things this year. I'm not tagging though, since honestly, I don't know too many bloggers who will post...

I Got a Plastic Shovel Thrown at Me at Dunkin' Donuts
Yes, I did. I worked at a Dunkies near the beach when I was 15. This particular day, I had drive-up window duty. Back in 1996, we made every Coffee Coolata by hand, in a blender. Patrons didn't know back then that each one had at least a cup of cream in each one, but that's a different story. I filled the cup to the "fill line" on the cup and handed it to the drive-up guy. But oh, no: It wasn't filled enough for him. So he beamed me with his kid's plastic beach spade. I went back in, pretending to "fix" the Coolata, but I actually summoned the police officer in line for coffee. He went outside and was able to bust the guy for a DUI and possession of marijuana.

I Don't Do Naps
I just can't really do them. I have a hard time sleeping when it's daylight, unless I'm really tired (after cramming for and taking a law school exam). If I fall asleep, I tend to wake up pretty cranky after an hour or two because my body is conditioned to expect at least six hours of sleep after shutdown. I do usually manage to sleep the whole night through without interruptions, which is awesome.

I Do Interactive Television
When watching television, I like to keep my laptop close by so that I can look up facts while I watch. For example, when watching the Celtics games, I can check out how tall Kevin Garnett is (6' 11'') and what school "Big Baby" attended (Louisiana State). I supplement my election results with hard facts about the candidates found online. If my cousin is watching the High School Musical, I surprise her by looking at Zac Efron's biography and relating random tidbits to her. I can't remember the time when I used to look at an actress on TV and think, "hmm, I remember her from somewhere, but I can't remember where?" and I didn't immediately IMDb the person. And yes, this can be incredibly annoying to some. Sorry. But it comes in handy when a friend IMs me a question and I can immediately send her the link where all the information is located.

I'm Having My Wedding Reception on a Ship
This is bugging some family members of mine. No, we couldn't just get a hall like everyone else. We wanted something different, so we'll be celebrating on a cruise. Yay!

I Write Best When I'm Stressed
Sometimes I'll sit down after a nice cup of tea and a good walk and I'll think that it would be a perfect opportunity to write. I've just gotten some fresh air, I'm feeling good, so why not? Well, the result is forced, tired prose that I'm never happy with the next day. But get me in "crisis" mode? Everything spills out; I'm unencumbered. Sure, I write a lot of crap, but there's some honest to goodness creativity in there too.
