Loving Dawn Johnsen

The more I read about Dawn Johnsen, Obama's pick to head the Office of Legal Counsel, the more I really like this nomination. She seems the ideal person to undo the damage that has been done to that agency and restore its role as one of our constitutional safeguards rather than as an accomplice to abuse.

After reading this paper she wrote last year on precisely that subject, it's obvious to me that Johnsen has thought deeply and in great detail about the OLC and the need for it to act as a check on the abuse of presidential power rather than an enabler of it. She writes:
