: Open and ShutACT to abolish most conclusive certificates.
ADVERTISEMENTS
The ACT Government will introduce legislation in the Assembly on Thursday to amend the Freedom of Information Act to abolish conclusive certificates except in respect of documents claimed exempt on national security grounds. This stops short of the total abolition proposed by the Federal and Queensland governments, although in both those cases the national security exemption will remain tight.Full post as published by Open and Shut on December 09, 2008 (boomark / email).
