First Portraits

Last Sunday I finally got up the momentum to prod us to a picture studio. This was mostly because I could use nice pictures as holiday presents, and also because I was sick of thinking that we should do it before she stops being a baby altogether. It went GREAT. Holy cow, what a relief. The baby in front of us was absolutely adorable and very well-behaved, so I prayed our kid would be like that too. We were in front of the cameras for all of three minutes.

The only problem was that the photographer was getting Becca too worked up with his funny noises, so she kept lifting her arms above her head and trying to wiggle out of my lap. He stuck a prop present in her hands and the problem was solved. The Becca-only shoot took about 30 seconds, since we declined any prop benches or sleighs or whatever other crazy things they've got in there. "Easiest sitting I've had all day," said the guy.

And then, unfortunately, the toddler behind us had a total freakout and cried when they got her up there next to a huge fake snowman. Everyone felt really bad for the parents, you could tell. We grabbed our prints and got out of there.

As an added bonus, we learned from the photographer that Becca thinks "Uh-oh" is hilarious...and now while babbling to her toys she'll sometimes add "AH-OH!" for emphasis.
