quick daycare question

Parents: do you give your daycare provider extra money or a present at Christmas? We are new at this. The present thing intimidates me because I don't feel like I know their non-kid interests very well, and the house is so full of books and toys I don't know that something for the daycare is a good idea. I get the feeling that a card with a nice note and a photo of Becca is appreciated plenty (they have a board with all the kids' pictures), I just wanted to get an idea.
