All weekend it was "MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY." I kept trying to escape upstairs to get some work done while the grandparents hung out with K, but I found it hard to ignore the cries. The second he saw me K would run over and attach himself to my leg."He's getting clingy," I said to JW. "What should I do about it?"
"He is," said JW, "but I don't think you need to do anything. It's just a phase."
And now that we're home, K is fine dancing or playing with his truck on the other side of the room while I make dinner. (At least for two minutes at a time.)
I don't think he really is clingy. He's just used to having my full attention when he wants it. I'm not sure whether this is good or bad. I could probably set more boundaries.
Work starts at the beginning of February, and he's going to notice that I'm not around.
