TD Ameritrade investors have filed a proposed class-action lawsuit against fund manager The Reserve over its handling of the firm’s Yield Plus mutual fund. According to the lawsuit, TD Ameritrade and The Reserve misled investors by understating the risk associated with Yield Plus, which was frozen following the collapse of Lehman Bros. earlier this year. The Reserve already faces at least 16 other lawsuits over its handling of other mutual funds affected by Lehman’s bankruptcy.
