Awakening the child within.

 Several times I have written about the power of awakening the child within us, and the silliness of fearing a judge or anyone else who once wore diapers. Perhaps that approach is helped along by summoning an attendant visual image.  Above is a photo from 1973 or 1974 of me and my cousin Todd Zimmer, a fascinating person and talented graphic designer who shares with me an interest in R. Crumb, among other things (with his even having spent quality time with the man). His mother or father must have taken the picture of the two of us, and he just recently posted it to FaceBook.  Suffice it to say, I did not feel much calmness for long stretches of time in childhood or thereafter, not before incorporating t'ai chi into my lifestyle fourteen years ago...continue to full post
