It’s Hard to Imagine Life Without USB

Wired reports that the next-gen version of the USB standard, USB 3.0 (”SuperSpeed USB”) has been introduced and will be available late next year.  This is the first upgrade to USB in eight years.  USB 3.0 will be about 10x faster that USB 2.0, and will allow you to move data at up to 4.8 gigabits per second.

IMHO USB ranks up there with duct tape, Goo Gone and shoe goo — wow … I got to use “goo” twice in one sentence — on my list of things I can’t live without.
