It's been a tough couple of days, and the end of the week promises to be no less frantic. What is it with clients and deadlines? Don't they understand that blogging comes first? Where are their priorities?

Not that I wouldn't love to rant about the latest kerfluffles in D.C., but every five minutes I spend blogging is an hour less that I can bill. You lawyers and clients know what I'm talkin' 'bout, dontcha'?

Oh, sorry. I forgot I'm no longer an equity partner in a national law firm with a per-partner overhead nut that would choke a horse. I meant to say "eight-tenths of an hour less."



Now that Paulson, et al. have completed a classic "bait and switch" on the bailout, however, I had to pass along the latest news: Bernanke and Paulson will replaced over the weekend with the Bush Administration's final "Dream Team": Bobo and Zippy.
