Akin Gump 15 partnership promotions include two LA attorneys

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP announced yesterday the promotion of 15 of the firm's lawyers to partnership, including two Los Angeles-based lawyers, David Antheil and Kevin D. Rising.

David Antheil, a member of the firm?s corporate practice, advises clients on a range of corporate and financial transactions, with a focus on advising private investment funds in connection with investments and formation. He received his A.B. in history and international affairs from Lafayette College in 1992 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1995.

Kevin Rising, a member of the firm?s litigation practice, focuses on complex civil litigation, wage and hour class action defense, consumer class action defense, product liability, toxic torts and securities. Mr. Rising received his B.A. in criminology, law and society from the University of California, Irvine in 1997 and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2000.
