Web Sites Point You To Best Happy Hour Deals On Your Block
Justin Piehowski, Staff Writer, WMUR

The most popular national happy hour mapping site on the web is Unthirsty.com.

Unthirsty allows you to search Happy Hour deals by zip code all across the country. Simply type in your zip code and up pops a map with drink deals from bars in your neighborhood.

The site also allows you to narrow your search down to those establishments with Wi-Fi, a patio and smoking bans. If your favorite watering hole isn?t listed, there?s a link to cue Unthirsty readers in on the good deals.

The site also offers full rating and commenting on each establishment so you can recommend?or dissuade?other drinkers.

A close second to Unthirsty is Mappyhour , a map-based Happy Hour search.

Mappyhour takes more of a nationwide look at happy hour deals, rating cities as a whole on the quality of happy hour deals in addition to individual pub deal listings. The site suggests that New York, Chicago, and Houston as the U.S.?s ?Happiest Cities.?

How to save money at the game:

Don't Drive To The Game
The average price of parking for an NFL game is $21.75. Instead of paying the hefty fee -- not to mention gas money -- look into public transportation options. If that isn't a reasonable option, ask a friend or a relative to drop you off at the stadium and pick you up after the game.

Eat Before You Go, Or Tailgate There
Prices at concession stands can be outrageous on game day. The average price of a hot dog at an NFL stadium is $4.13, which is close to the cost of an entire pack of hot dogs at the grocery store. To cut costs, eat before you go to the game. Otherwise, depending on what you decide to serve, bringing your food with you and tailgating before the game is another cheaper option. If you're with a group of people, you can also turn your pre-game meal into a potluck.

Opt For Soda Instead Of Beer
When deciding what to wash your food down with during the game, take a look at the prices before you order. The average cost of a beer at an NFL stadium this year is $6.80. That's $3 more than the average price of a soda ($3.80).

Don't Buy Unnecessary Items
Instead of buying a program at the game (which costs an average of $4.66 this season), take the sports section from the morning paper with you to the stadium. Also, resist the souvenir stands. According to the TMR research, a hat sold at stadiums costs an average of $15.62 this season.
