The Houston Chronicle columnist looks at the newly elected Harris County District Attorney in, "New DA's ambitious intentions."  Casey notes that Lykos was a criminal district court judge for 15 years.Pat Lykos fits some Texas law 'n order stereotypes. The DA-elect drives a big white Cadillac coupe, smokes filtered Camels and while hesitating to tell you her north-of-Social-Security age, expresses pride in the fact that she is unbleached and unbotoxed. On the other hand, she plans to be softer on most juvenile offenders, harder on some of the prosecutors she will inherit, and to slow down Harris County's notorious conveyer belt of death penalty cases.
