Brian Nichols Found Guilty by Atlanta Jury

Loyal readers know that StandDown has followed the Georgia trial because of its impact on indigent defense issues.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Nichols has been found guilty.  Superior Court Judge James Bodiford sent the jury home until 8:40 a.m. Monday when the jury is scheduled to return to start deliberating whether to sentence Nichols to death or to life imprisonment. Bodiford told jurors that he expected the next phase of the trial would last until after Thanksgiving.The Fulton County Daily Report has this report, also.Earlier coverage is here.
