Bush loyalist wants to stay as U.S. Attorney under Obama

ADVERTISEMENTS
It's not going to happen.

But the Star-Bulletin seems to think it might:

http://www.starbulletin.com/news/20081107_US_attorney_wants_to_keep_post.html

The Star-Bulletin also assumes that the Clinton-endorsing Sen. Dan Inouye will play "a key role" in selecting the new U.S. Attorney for Hawai`i. Just because that's always been the case during the tenure of a Democratic President doesn't mean it's going to be the case this time.

A more interesting story would've looked at some of the potential candidates for this powerful post (as the U.S. government's top criminal and civil attorney in the state).

Here are some attorneys who could be considered:

Paul Alston

Benjamin J. Cayetano

James E. Duffy Jr.

Louise K.Y. Ing

Darolyn Hatsuko Lendio

Steven H. Levinson

Sabrina S. McKenna

Sheryl Nicholson

Colleen I. Wong
