: Legal Pad | LANixon throws Thelen lawyers a lifeline

Although the proposed merger between the firms failed to materialize, Nixon Peabody voted to admit close to 100 former Thelen attorneys in a partnership vote yesterday. According to a press release, the new hires will triple the size of the Silicon Valley office and result in a total roster of more then 825 lawyers in 19 cities. These hires will include associates and staff as well as partners. Nixon had expressed interest in taking on Thelen attorneys last month.
