Human Rights Law

I understand that you must be quite busy in these hectic days following election night, and consequently I shall be brief and to the point.

I hereby respectfully call upon you to close down Gitmo and all other such facilities which constitute an affront to basic human and civil rights - I make such a call not just as a Canadian citizen, but as a citizen fo the World, of Humanity.

Those faceless and forgotten, those hapless and helpless no land's men, must be given justice once and for all and be freed - as opposed to the insults to injuries that were imposed upon them needlessly to suffer.

At the same time, the real "axis of Evil" of our age must be eradicated once and for all by those who have foistered such evils upon us all - namely, the very country which you will officially lead come January 1st, 2009.

Military commissions, such as those taking place at Gitmo, are a sham - veritable insults to every principles and precepts of justice, freedom, civility and humanity, while constituting tragic, yet repulsive, monuments to barbarity and savagery.

In other words: "tear down those American-created black holes of human rights, decency and justice such as Gitmo, Mr. Obama!"
