Optical Ilusions and Framing Problems

Interesting illusion by Dan Ariely. Optical illusions are used by many behavioral economists as demonstrations of our cognitive limitations.

While this illusion is neat, it doesn't explain or demonstrate any known framing effects.

I like Ariely's new book, but I am increasingly doubtful about the value of optical illusions as an explanatory model for framing effects.
