By Cleveland Law Library
Today, the Ohio Supreme Court announced that it has approved a 16th specialization for Ohio attorneys who practice social security disability law. Ohio lawyers were already able to become certified in the following areas: administrative agency law; appellate law; business bankruptcy law; business, commercial and industrial real property law; civil law trial advocacy; creditor's rights/debt collection; criminal law/trial advocacy; consumer bankruptcy law; elder law; estate planning, trust and probate law; family relations law; federal taxation law; labor and employment law; residential real property law; and workers' compensation law. The rules on how Ohio lawyers advertise their specialties may change slightly if the Ohio Supreme Court passes amendments to Rule 7.4 of the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. Proposed comments on this suggested change are due by November 25, 2008.
