More Obama as President of the Harvard Law Review

Where does this stuff come from?

First it was stories about then Harvard Law student Barack Obama's tenure as president of the Harvard Law Review.  There was discussion that his issue of the review wasn't well-cited, which we discussed here.  That story was accurate, even if irrelevant in my mind to the presidential election.  It might be a good sign that he took the Harvard Law Review in a new direction--away from the pointy-headed academics.  And as we all know, citations aren't perfect indicators of quality.

Then there was talk that during Obama's tenure as president, the Harvard Law Review published a bunch of critical race scholarship--including charging him with articles that had  been accepted before he took over as presdient.   Then the news of his "lost" law review "article"--actually a short case note.  It shouldn't surprise anyone that the public interpretation wasn't all that accurate.   Then there was criticism of Laurence Tribe's "Curvature of Constitutional Space", which brought in Obama because he was listed as one of several research assistants.

Now, over at turndownobama.com, there's a flier that says the faculty selected him as president of the Harvard Law Review against the votes of students.  This just ain't true.  By the way, this is from a "Party Unity My Ass" website (aka PUMA).
