Hapless shoelace burglar jailed

Hapless shoelace burglar jailed

A hapless burglar found hanging upside down from a window by his shoelaces has been jailed for three years.

I don't believe that a £20 a day heroin habit is really a habit at all. For his lawyer to claim he "needed" the money for drugs and alcohol is incorrect, he wanted it is more like. Given that he will only serve half of the 3 year sentence, it does raise the question of being a mockery of justice bearing in mind "The sentence also incorporated penalties for two assaults on police officers, two shoplifting thefts and possession of class C drugs". I would say he got off very lightly indeed.
