Did you know that Lexis has a search engine? LexisWeb search results include ?important, legal-oriented Web content selected and validated by the LexisNexis editorial staff.? The results page also includes recommended LexisNexis sources. While it is in beta, LexisWeb searches are free, and you can view any Web results without a password. However, you need an account to connect to recommended LexisNexis sources.
Besides the fact that LexisWeb searches only law-related websites, which increases my chances of finding helpful information, I like the filters for narrowing my search results. There are filters for Legal Topics, Subject, Geography, Citations, Companies, People, Keywords, and Source. Within each cluster of the filters, red bars indicate the relevance of each filter to the search. See the user guide for more information.
