GAG ORDER ISSUED IN HOMELESS BEATING CASE

 Cynthia ImperatoJudge Imperato issued a gag order in the Homeless Beating Case.  You won't hear a peep from Gottlieb, Kroll, Halpern, Holden, Cavanagh, or the police, from this point on.  Some depos have been sealed, and the Judge will decide whether or not to allow the press to report on the alleged DVD confession of Ammons that may implicate the other defendants.  Motion to Suppress is Thursday, where the DVD is to be played.Argued for the Sun Sentinel by 1st Amendment lawyer Dana McElroy of Gordon, Hargrove & James, against the above named defense lawyers, who argued to put the press out of action to secure an untainted jury pool.  I didn't see all of it, but I think she basically argued the cat is already out of the bag on this high profile case, and the case law says you can't stuff the cat back in the bag...continue to full post
