Open Thread on Palin-Biden Debate

By Dan Markel, Ethan Leib, Rick Garnett, Matt Bodie, Paul Horwitz , Steve Vladeck, and Orly Lobel

ADVERTISEMENTS

I'm heading shortly to Amherst MA for a conference on the death penalty to get some feedback on this hastily cooked paper, but as I'll be off the box a bunch, I'll be curious to see if by my return there's any fallout from the debate tonight. It seemed tamer than I anticipated. In fairness, Palin exceeded the very low expectations I had for her performance. That said, in my book, she confirmed her knucklehead status. But even knuckleheads can be trained and improved. As for Biden, I think he did a pretty good job. Against Palin, he's clearly the taller mountain in Missouri.

What were your thoughts or reactions to tonight?
