In the coming days, I will be posting a series of links to webpages that facilitate individual action in the community, both on the local and global level. Some focus on monetary support, others on your time and energy, while others are seeking to inform. First up, CNN's "Impact Your World."

Currently, the page is designed around the story of Youssif--the five year-old Iraqi boy who was doused with gasoline and set ablaze by masked men. Youssif's story--most assuredly just one of many unthinkable dangers that form the everyday life of many Iraqi citizens--is incredibly moving. He has received immense support from CNN and its viewers; the page contains links to support causes that support the organizations helping Youssif.

The page also has resources for military veterans, poverty, health, natural disasters, children, the environment, and refugees.

It's a great resource, and definitely worth your time.
