Obama Scolds Biden

ADVERTISEMENTS
Poor Joe. He's having a rough week.

"[A]s Lauer pointed out, scarcely three minutes after McCain said he opposed the AIG bailout last week, "in an interview with Meredith Vieira, Joe Biden, your running mate was asked the exact same question, 'should the federal government bailout AIG?' And he said, 'No, the federal government should not bailout AIG.'"

"And I think that in that situation," Obama said, "I think Joe should have waited as well."

Why such soft criticism for Biden, but not McCain? Biden's been in the Senate longer than McCain, voted for the deregulation bill that McCain missed, and said the exact same thing that McCain did.

Seems like the only obvious difference is that Biden is his running mate.
